A few scribbles from The Tales of Beedle the Bard by the great JKRowling, published today. Of course I had to rush out and get it at once!
Anyway, Grumble the Grubby Goat is only hinted at as Aberforth's favourite story (duh!) so there's another one fans* will be pestering to know the full version of. Below is Xeno Lovegood failing to calm a young Luna down for the night by reading her Beedle's Tales, a scene from The Fountain of Fair Fortune (I found it fascinatingly gross, and the whole tale absolutely beautiful), and a sneaky animagus McGonagall, inspired by one of the footnotes.
I love it! Nice that you had to think of the Lovegood... yes she had no mother and it must have been hard for Mr. Lovegood, but he did a good job didn't he?? I DO love the scene of the tears... aaaaww one of my favourites... The Grubby Goat.. muaaahahah soo funny!!I just can imegine little Aberforth askin Mrs Dumbledore "Mom read it again please!" how sweet and weird too lol!! Ireally enjoyed the reading of the book, finished it yesterday night!!

I like the way JKR keeps going on about Aberforth's obsession with goats, but just never tells what exactly it is. (Maybe she doesn't know herself). I tried to instigate the rumour that Crumple-Horned Snorcakcs were the results of Aberforth's "inappropriate charms" but it didn't really catch on.
Yes, Luna and Xeno certainly have a strong of somewhat chaotic attachment.
