A portrait of Hermione Granger from the 'Harry potter' series by JKRowling.

This etching is a homage to John Tenniel's 'Alice in Wonderland' Illustrations - there's a picture at the beginning of 'Through the Looking Glass' where Alice is sitting in the chair more or less in the same position. The chair Hermione is sitting on is a lot dirtier because it's been in the Gryffindor Common Room for 150 years or something ... (intertextual madness)

Awwwww! That's just so cute, Hermione with a ginormous book :P Cuteness aside though, wow, this is wonderfully done- the style, the detail. Gorgeous.

She fits so well into the etching 'look'. I have never thought of this before, but I can see her becoming the next Alice. Plus, I belive this shall be :+fav: because of her face, its so well done and she looks at peace which is good for Hermione.
